about

Nasty Wizard Recordings are physically aroused due to their latest split cassette tape: CAT AIDS & GO TSUSHIMA (NWR003).

As far as split EPs go, this one is a trans Asian punch in the back of the head in a dark, stuffy room. Lubricants might be involved. You never know.

Side A features Beijing’s self proclaimed greatest band ever, CAT AIDS. The balaclava clad, drums and bass duo tear through six tracks of either absolute genius or absolute rubbish (even CAT AIDS are on the fence about that one). From the space-metal cum GG Allin inspired punk of ‘Mike Tyson Pizza Party’, the doom-metal/jazz darkness of ‘Kevin Bacon Reacharound’, to the noise meltdown of ‘If Abortions Are Murder Blowjobs Are Genocide’, it’s less than thirty minutes of music you (may not) need in your life.

Side B presents Osaka’s psychedelic guitar wizard GO TSUSHIMA and friends, taking you on a mystical journey of jamming the fuck out. Split over two tracks simply titled ‘GT8’ GO & Co weave intricate patterns of guitar, bass, and drums, rising and falling, ebbing and flowing: like walking along a pristine beach at dusk, watching the crashing waves, whilst descending into a horse tranquilliser induced fantasy. GO has toured more countries than you’ve had warm beer, and right here his cosmic visions are captured on magnetic tape. Be thankful unworthy one.

The artwork for this split was done by Martin ‘The Craw’ Crawford of Black Cat Print Studios in Kent, England(https://www.facebook.com/pages/Black-Cat-Print-Studio/377347042277001?fref=ts). Look at the artwork and think about it, you’ll get it.

The CAT AIDS & GO TSUSHIMA split EP is available through our bandcamp page and soon for physical distro. You can also contact us at nastywizardrecordings@gmail.com and we will respond in four to eight weeks. Get infected, get CAT AIDS (& GO TSUSHIMA).
